Herman Kok, currently Head of Research with MARK (previously Meyer Bergman) in London, is joining DISCvision. Herman is a well-known international real estate research specialist focused on supporting property investors and developers. Key words for him are cities, location, space, and markets. We welcome Herman to become our parttime associate partner. He will combine his current position with being associate partner at DISCvision. During his career, Herman has worked at Multi Corporation for 16 years to facilitate its international operations, of which the last four years as Head of Research serving the retail asset management platform of Blackstone. He is involved in the research communities of RICS Royal Institute Chartered Surveyors, ULI – Urban Land Institute, and NRW – Dutch Council of Shopping Centers. The need to understand socio-economic and cultural differences between markets, the driving forces of the consumers, and to predict their behaviour is of key importance when dealing with international real estate investments. Herman is the specialist to combine the world of the investment insights with the growing need to understand market difference sand the behaviour of consumers. Herman and Douwe successfully worked together in the Central Europe activities of Kolpron-Ecorys and are convinced that also this development will be successful.
